Dr Susanne Owen established Owen Educational Consultancy in 2006 for the purposes of providing research, consultancy and evaluation expertise to education and health projects within Australia and internationally.
As company director, Dr Owen draws on over 30 years Australian and overseas experience as a primary/secondary teacher and as an education systems manager in various project areas. In addition to providing consultancy services for commissioned projects, she has also been a national leader, project manager and senior researcher in various university projects in education, allied health and law disciplines. Susanne has held various senior university positions and is an ongoing Adjunct Senior Research Fellow in education at the University of South Australia.
Susanne’s qualifications include a Doctor of Education, Masters of Education (Curriculum), Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages and also Jazz Education, as well as competency based assessment. Dr Owen holds a Bachelor of Arts and Diploma of Teaching and she is a long term and active member of the Australian College of Educators (ACE), Australian Secondary Principals Association and also the Australian Association for Research in Education (AARE).
